Title: Sail Ordering Procedure 2010

Sea View Dinghy Class  Sail Ordering Procedure 2010

The Class rules allow sails to be replaced once the existing sails have been used for three full seasons meaning that they can be ordered for the next fourth season.

China Sails  manufacture the sails in Southern China with an administrative office in Hong Kong.  China Sails only deal with the trade.  We have been able to negotiate the same favourable price as last year but due to material increases anticipate a large increase for the 2011 season.

There is a requirement that the sail number needs to be in a contrasting colour on each panel.

Sails are made out of BCD160 Dacron cloth and come complete with metal slides, reefing eyes, tapered battens, telltales on luff and leech, windows and affixed sail numbers.

The bulk purchase prices for this season are below.  These prices include VAT, delivery to Seaview, freight and duty.   These prices are on the assumption that the Euro exchange rate is approximately Eur 1.1 to £1.  If there is a significant change in the exchange rate an adjustment could be made.

Any combination of colours (see order form)

Main   £236.14

Jib      £99.66

Boom bags are also available at an inclusive price of £30

Copies of the sail order form are available from Michael Warren.
